This book was created as part of an event by Travel Studio Goyu, celebrating Jongga — the living root culture unique to Korea.

To ensure that the flavors and sensations experienced at the event would linger a little longer in memory, we chose the accordion book format, with its layered, sculptural form. Within its folds, we wanted to preserve something of that day.

Taking full advantage of both sides of the book, the front holds a record of Jongga, while the back carries an essay written through the lens of Studio Goyu alone.

この本は、トラベルスタジオ固有が見出した、韓国人ならではのルーツ文化「宗家（ジョンガ）」を照らすイベントの一環として制作されました。

イベントの日に体験した、宗家ならではの食の感覚が、より鮮やかに、より長く記憶に残るように — 立体的な造形を持つアコーディオンブックという形を選びました。折り重なる構造の中に、あの日の体験を刻み込みたいと思いました。

本の両面を活かし、表面には宗家の記録を、裏面にはスタジオ固有ならではの視点で綴ったエッセイを収めています。

트래블 스튜디오 고유가 발견한, 한국인만의 뿌리 문화 ‘종가’를 조명하는 행사의 일부로 제작하였습니다.

행사 날, ‘종가’만의 음식을 경험했던 감각이 좀 더 생생하게 남겨질 수 있도록 입체적인 조형을 가지고 있는 아코디언 북으로 제작하였으며, 양면을 사용할 수 있는 기회로 뒷면에서는 스튜디오 고유만의 에세이를 담게 되었습니다.

This book is drawn from the experiences of a special cleanup worker — someone whose work begins where a life has quietly ended alone.

Through the traces left behind by those who died in solitude, the book confronts the profound isolation of our deeply individualized modern society.

And yet, within that solitude, unexpected things surface — signs that someone nearby had cared, evidence of a quiet will to keep living, a small potted plant tended with humble devotion. Through these remnants, the book speaks to the preciousness of life.

The book's physical form invites the reader to intervene in the story — drawing them deeper into its world, and closer to its quiet truths.

この本は、「特殊清掃」という仕事に携わる作家の経験をもとに綴られています。孤独のうちに逝った人々が生前に残した痕跡を通して、徹底的に個人化された現代社会と、その中に潜む孤立を描き出します。

それでもなお、思いがけない隣人の存在や、どうにかして生きようとした痕跡、ささやかに育てていた鉢植えなど——残されたものたちは、命の尊さを静かに語りかけてきます。

読者がその物語に介入できる紙の造形を取り入れることで、語りへの没入をより深めるつくりになっています。

'특수청소' 업을 하는 작가의 경험을 담은 책입니다. 혼자서 죽음을 맞이한 이들의 살아생전 남긴 흔적을 통해 지독하게 개인화되어 있는 현대사회와 그 속의 소외를 나타냅니다.

그럼에도 불구하고 생각치 못한 주변인을 발견하거나, 어떻게든 살아보려 노력했던 흔적들, 소박하게 키우던 화분 등의 흔적을 보여주면서 삶의 귀함을 얘기하려는 이야기에 독자가 개입할 수 있는 종이형태를 만들어 이야기 몰입을 돕습니다.

The story opens with a 2D map graphic, charting the escalating conflict between three bakeries caught in a struggle over location and price. Perforated spaces anchored around coordinates visualize the characters' entanglement with one another and with society at large. Inspired by the air pockets formed by yeast in bread, the paper perforations transform a familiar, everyday image into a vessel for tension and conflict. Each character is given a distinct typeface — so that letterforms themselves become performers, embodying personality and action as if on a stage.

立地と価格をめぐる競争に絡み合う三つのパン屋の葛藤を、2Dマップ上の座標グラフィックで描き出すところから始まります。座標を中心に打ち抜かれた空間と積み重なるページは、人物と社会とのつながりを視覚化し、それぞれの性格と生き残りをかけた闘いはタイポグラフィで表現しました。 パンのイーストが生み出す気泡からヒントを得た紙の打ち抜き加工は、日常的なイメージの中に潜む葛藤を浮かび上がらせる仕掛けとして機能します。また、人物ごとに固有の書体を与えることで、まるで戯曲の俳優のように、それぞれの性格と行動が活字そのものとして息づくようにしました。

위치 경쟁과 가격 경쟁으로 얽힌 세 빵집의 갈등을 2D 지도 위의 좌표 그래픽으로 시작합니다. 좌표를 중심으로 타공된 공간과 축적되는 페이지는 인물과 사회의 연결성을 시각화하고, 각 인물의 성격과 생존을 위한 투쟁은 타이포그래피로 표현했습니다. 빵의 이스트가 만들어 내는 숨구멍에서 착안한 종이 타공은 일상적 이미지 속에 숨겨진 갈등을 드러내는 장치로 작동합니다. 또한 인물마다 고유한 서체를 부여해, 마치 희곡의 배우처럼 각자의 성격과 행동이 활자 그 자체로 살아 숨 쉬도록 했습니다.

Through the connection of 'vowels' following 'consonants', the organic white spaces within the book, and the experience of turning large pages slowly, one can feel the speaker’s deep affection for 'you'.

「子音」に寄り添う「母音」の連なりや、本の中の有機的な余白、そして大きなページをゆっくりとめくる体験を通して、「あなた」を想う話者の深い愛情を感じることができる。

‘자음’을 따라가는 ‘모음’의 연결성과, 책 안의 유기적인 여백, 큰 페이지를 천천히 넘기는 경험을 통해 ‘너’를 생각하는 화자의 애정을 느낄 수 있습니다.
